A preview of the new Isonzo XR app

Today, at the mouth of the Isonzo Natural Reserve, a new digital experience, iconic of IKON, was previewed in the press – it is the Isonzo XR new mobile app created and developed in collaboration with LAND Italia which offers an experiential and immersive experience along the natural course of the Isonzo River.  

 

As part of the CariGOGREEN3 project, an open air laboratory focused on topics of sustainable development funded by the Carigo and Intesa San Paolo Foundation, this project is founded on three main principles: the enhancement of the landscape, the recovery of historical memory and technological innovation. 

 

This app provides a new way to see the region and to explore and discover through “digital storytelling” which intertwines soundscapes, interactive maps, gamification, virtual and augmented reality, enhancing the experience along 6 geo-referenced bike and pedestrian paths which are inspired by the history, traditions and the natural heritage of these lands. 

 

The app is designed for Android and IOS mobile devices and will be available in app stores at the end of September 2020.
