The future of driving schools comes from Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
IKON has realized a revolutionary driving simulator that will allow pupils of ACI “Ready2Go” driving schools (more than 200 all around Italy) to learn to drive safely before dealing with real-world streets and traffic.
The core of the system lies in software that, through a VR viewer, allows a 360° driving simulation. Students can live a completely immersive and highly realistic driving experience.
The simulation efficiency is also granted by the characteristics of the cabin, which was designed and realized by IKON as well. All the elements have been created to make the driving experience as realistic as possible: the cabin is equipped with all the controls and adjustments of a real vehicle, from the steering wheel to the transmission, up to the safety belt.
“It is the first driving simulator in virtual reality designed specifically for driving schools- has declared Enrico Degrassi, founder, and CEO of IKON- which allows an extremely accurate simulation of the physics of the vehicle in all the driving conditions. The software is realized based on the graphic engine “3D Unreal Engine”, which is from years the reference point in the videogames industry and which we have adapted to the teaching requirements of driving schools. With such a performing software, we can offer a high-level visual rendering, totally immersive and realistic, in different contexts from urban routes to the highway ones, up to the route of the Vallelunga Safety Drive Center, everything with variables such as the day or night driving or difficult atmospheric conditions, like with fog."
