The new Digital Museum of Reclamation has officially opened in Staranzano, inside the former caretaker’s house of the historic Idrovora Sacchetti. Promoted by the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Gorizia in collaboration with the Consorzio di Bonifica della Venezia Giulia, the project tells the story of the territory’s transformation through hydraulic engineering, combining historical memory, sustainability, and technological innovation.
The multimedia exhibition, designed and developed by IKON, guides visitors through an interactive journey featuring digital maps, dynamic timelines, touch tables, and an engaging virtual reality experience that explores the evolution of land reclamation and the deep connection between humans and water.
The museum is part of a wider network linking Staranzano to other key sites in the region, offering a new way to discover and experience the local heritage through the language of innovation.
