VR project for Autovie Venete: training and safety at work

IKON offers Virtual Reality at the service of training and safety at work. The project, developed for Autovie Venete, aims to offer road safety staff a completely new training course, which exploits all the potential of Virtual Reality, guaranteeing effective training in a safe environment.
 

Thanks to the use of Oculus Quest 2 viewers, some of the most complex and dangerous situations that Autovie Venete operators have to face, are simulated with a high level of realism. The scenarios vary in type and complexity and each situation can be set in different weather and lighting conditions.
 

“We are exploring a completely new paradigm – declares Enrico Degrassi, CEO of Ikon – which allows us to revolutionize the learning path, till now based on theoretical e-leaning courses. This innovative approach also allows you to exercise spatial and motor memory, bringing into play the perceptual and emotional component. The learning effectiveness in the new immersive context improves up to 233% compared to traditional methods, while the times of the training sessions are reduced by up to 90%".
