The safety of travelers on the highway depends largely on the quality of traffic information and the timeliness with which they are communicated. For this reason, Autovie Venete wanted to have a software platform developed by IKON that provides real-time news and updates on the state of highway traffic in Northeast Italy through various channels and devices: from the website to the InfoViaggiando mobile app, from the info-points to the dedicated Twitter page. Traffic information is acquired by Autovie Venete’s operations center and dispatched immediately; they include the events, the images / videos from the webcams and the messages on the panels relating to the motorway sections in concession to Autovie Venete, CAV and Autostrada Brescia Verona Vicenza Padova. All transmitted data are managed and synchronized by means of Author, a single content management system developed by IKON which optimizes the operators' activities and ensures perfect consistency of information across all available channels.

All traffic information is geolocated and synthetically represented by icons on an interactive map. The home page highlights the traffic forecasts for the next two weeks and the cheapest fuel prices.
InfoViaggiando mobile app
Available for devices with iOS and Android operating systems, the app offers mobile users all the information on motorway traffic: interactive maps, push notifications, webcams, "InfoViaggiando radio" and information on tourist points of interest located near the highway, offered in AR mode.
The Infopoint system
The Infopoints are installed in the Autovie Venete Service Areas and in various information points and regional institutional offices. Thanks to touch screens, users can choose which information to display.
Twitter @InfoTraveling
The @InfoViaggiando Twitter page is constantly fed with traffic information from the Autovie Venete operations center. A specially developed software algorithm automatically compiles Twitter posts, optimizing them according to the formats and constraints required by the social network.
