Presented today at LETExpo, the fair of logistics, transports, and sustainable intramodality currently held in Verona, the new project by CAV in the field of technology applied to mobility and infrastructure safety. It is SkyTraffic, an integrated ecosystem that allows the operativity of fleets of automated drones driven remotely.
The new system allows CAV to use remote command and control drones for the monitoring of traffic and highway infrastructures; moreover, it is completely powered by renewable energetic sources.
The software, entirely realized by IKON, permits for the first time to the drones to acquire real-time data on the highway circulation, to monitor simultaneously the maintenance of infrastructure, and to process the collected data through AI algorithms that bring to light the possible problems that require intervention.
Therefore. with this innovative system it will be possible to inspect highways systematically and to optimize the necessary interventions for infrastructure maintenance.
