An ecosystem to grow ideas

Where innovation and nature meet
Ideas are valuable and must be cultivated with passion, competence and sensitivity. To grow harmoniously they need a real ecosystem: IKON is a creative space where innovative technologies and nature, a source of inspiration, meet. Our headquarters is surrounded by greenery, consisting of vineyards, olive groves and a forest, with more than 1500 trees, which has been planted to reduce the corporate carbon footprint. An orchard, a vegetable garden and four bee families complete what we like to call an "ecosystem to grow ideas".

The building that now houses our offices was originally conceived as an experiment in sustainability and self-sufficiency, both from an energy and food point of view. Designed in 1980 by the architect Fulvio Degrassi, the complex fits in perfectly with nature, thanks to embankments and grass roofs that connect the countryside to the structure without interruption. The large south-facing greenhouse offers an efficient passive solar air-conditioning system, while photovoltaic systems and storage systems, installed during subsequent extensions, guarantee enough clean energy production to satisfy the company's needs. The renewal of the headquarters in 2017, allowed to further improve the performance of the buildings, bringing them into the A3 energy class.
The wing, originally used for agricultural purposes, was progressively transformed into a "digital farm" hosting the core of Ikon’s team since the beginning.
Working in contact with nature
All the offices of the Ikon headquarters have large windows that allow for the enjoyment of the surrounding landscape: nature is the best source of inspiration.
Bees and Ikon honey
Since 2010, four bee colonies have lived in the woods and orchards surrounding our Ikon headquarters. In every different flowering season from March to September, they collect pollen from thousands of native plants on the property, including acacia, linden, marasca, dandelion, and apple, and they produce exquisite honey.
Udine offices
In 2019 Ikon also renewed the offices of the subsidiary Juicy: a dynamic and creative space that picks up the central themes of the corporate philosophy.
